Keralyt® 5 Shampoo – 5% Salicylic Acid Shampoo

Recently my scalp psoriasis returned and I'd been using 3% prescription products recommended by my dermatologist, which didn't really help much. She recommended your shampoo and gel as a last resort before starting shots. The combination of shampoo and gel has removed much of the flakiness, but has also left my scalp drier and itchier, which is not really what I consider progress. For now I'm continuing with the shampoo, but using a prescription derma oil instead of the gel for my scalp to combat the dryness and itchiness. To me, this is more like a short-term solution than a product for long-term use. The second part of the process should involve healing and I haven't seen any of that yet- just smaller flakes instead of larger ones.

Amazing for my 5 year old daughters severe dry scalp/psoriasis. We tried multiple prescriptions from our dermatologist and nothing worked. This is finally what helped her scalp to become mostly normal again. We had to use it 2-3 times a week at first and leave it on her scalp for 15-20 min before rinsing. After we got it under condo, we now use it about once a week to keep it under control. Amazing product. I highly recommend this if other options have not worked for you!!

Works very well, better than any other, though it is a little pricey. But it's very effective.

I can’t recommend this product enough, I’m in the military haircuts are the standard of being well groomed but sadly after every hair I get on a monthly basis my folliculitis flares up bad. This has helped my folliculitis. 10/10 would recommend to anyone struggling with the same!

Keralyt was recommended for my scalp when prescription shampoo wasn't completely effective. I was completely surprised with the results. After the first shampoo my scalp had completely stopped itching. I use Keralyt several times a week with great results.

I've been using this now for 6 days (5 consecutive) and this stuff WORKS! I've had sores on my scalp and beard and dandruff for months now and it has gotten much, much better already. I use as follows:

1. Wet my hair and beard.
2. Shake bottle.
3 Rub into wet hair and beard and then massage in for about 30 seconds each with one of those silicone scalp massagers.
4. Leave on 10 minutes and then rinse out in the shower.

Will definitely buy this again!

I got the Keralyt 5 shampoo and it has been so nice to have relief from my scalp issues! I have folliculitis from my hair being broken down to the roots (horrible hair colorist), and for some reason also got thick dry scales on my scalp. This is the first relief I’ve had from these conditions in a year or more!

I've always had issues with dry scalp. I struggled with finding the right product. I've tried different shampoos, conditioners, treatments etc with little to no success.
I visited a dermatologist last year for other dry skin issues, and she recommended salicylic acid which dramatically improved my dry skin. With that in mind, I sought out shampoo with salicylic acid. Even products containing 3% weren't really enough. This product on the other hand works. I can see improvement from one use! So much so my barber even commented!!

My dermatologist recommended this to be used every other day. It has helped take care of my psoriasis.

This stuff is great. I have Seborrheic Dermatitis. I use Nizoral and although it works well, MG 217 worked better. But they made a new formula that doesn’t work well. I need something that would exfoliate the scalp first to prolong the effects of Nizoral. I used it as a serum per the directions, not shampoo and it worked great. I left it on for more than 5 minutes. If I was to just use Nizoral I would need to use it multiple times throughout the week and I have textured hair. So, I’m happy this exists.

I can't say enough great things about this product. I was suffering from some sort of scalp rash that was both itchy and painful, with dandruff, likely from my Lupus but dermatologists were unable to give me a clear answer as to what was going on. I had tried ketoconazole shampoo and topical steroids for months with no relief. Finally a dermatologist recommended this shampoo to me. She told me to rub it into my scalp and let it sit for 30 minutes every single day before washing it out for 3 weeks. I am only on week 2 and I have already had a HUGE improvement in the rash and so much relief to my scalp. While I still have the dandruff and itching occasionally, it is a night and day difference from what I was previously suffering. This shampoo also does not appear to dry my hair out and actually leaves it feeling fairly soft and easy to comb through. It has a clean scent to it and does not leave my hair smelling bad or chemically like other shampoos. I am so thankful for this product and will always have it on hand.

It is gooey, smells funky, 5% salicylic acid is somewhat weak for super build up and is expensive, BUT, for overall exfoliating nothing else comes close. Use neat on scalp. I let it sit for at least one hour, then wash off and follow with your antifungal shampoo, I recommend 2% Ketoconazole. DO NOT GET ON YOUR EARS, IN YOUR EYES, and DO NOT LET IT STAY ON ALL DAY....definitely need to wash it off.

I cannot rave enough about Keralyt 5 Anti-Dandruff Shampoo! This is my fifth time purchasing it, and I’ll keep coming back because nothing else works quite like it. I’ve struggled with scalp build-up and flakiness from seborrheic dermatitis and mild psoriasis for years, and this 5% salicylic acid formula is a total game changer. It clears flakes, reduces itchiness, and actually soothes my scalp instead of drying it out like other medicated shampoos. I use it a few times a week and instantly feel a difference after each wash. You can also use it as a pre-shower treatment, which is super handy. If you're dealing with scalp issues, this stuff is worth every penny. Total lifesaver!

This product is what my Dr. Gave me a sample of for my psoriasis on my scalp. It cleared it up!

I now have a very itchy scalp with blotches. I tried a couple OTC standard brands, but this was recommended by my dermatologist and is fabulous. It hasn't gotten rid of the redness, but it knocks out the itching for several days. It also helps keep flaking away. You can use it daily or as needed.

Massage it into your Scalp real well and let it sit while you wash up the rest of your body and then rinse. Works very well

Better than prescription shampoo.

It took me a while to figure out what was going on with my scalp and this product helped. It provided temporary relief from itching and reduced the scaliness and bumps of the affected patches but only went so far. Then I tried using it first when washing my hair, leaving it on for several minutes, rinsing, and following with Ketoconazole to attack the fungus and leaving that on for several minutes before rinsing too. It’s still a slow process but I’m now making significant progress in ridding my scalp of the dread that’s been making my hair fall out. I’ve also found that putting a little on just the affected spots on a dry scalp and leaving on for a length of time helps the itching and exfoliation process moves along quicker, helping the antifungal shampoo work better. IMO and experience they work better together than either one alone. Spendy, but worth the results after looking for so long for anything that would work.
